En 1980, luego del traslado de la fbrica Nuciven a la ciudad de Maracay, nacieron dos productos, Pirulin y la bebida Nucicao. Para el ao 1982, una vez establecida la Pirulin en el mercado, se decide lanzar diferentes versiones de este mismo producto, es as como aparece la Pirulin de coco y las mini; y un poco ms adelante, los conos de Pirulin cubiertos de chocolate.
